The life and career of Prime Minister Abe (NHK)

Kent Calder, Director of the Reischauer Center at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies | SAIS, had an interview with NHK regarding the life and career of Prime Minister Abe.

Dr. Calder described Prime Minister Abe as an “active leader in the United States among all the prime ministers of all time” bringing together Japan and the U.S. in both Democratic and Republican administrations “strengthening Japan’s international role.” He saw Minister Abe as “a realist, a patriot, and a forward-looking man.”
