Mitsubishi Corporation (Americas) Fellow for the 2024-2025 Academic Year

The Reischauer Center is proud to announce that Thomas Bell, Nicolas Velez, and Sam Sawyers were named the Mitsubishi Corporation (Americas) Fellow for the 2024-2025 Academic Year at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).

Dr. Kent Calder, Thomas Bell, and coordinator Anton Yang had a chance to meet with Baden Firth (Senior Vice-President and General Manager of the Washington DC Office), Jeffrey Thompson (Manager of the Washington DC Office and a SAIS Alum), and Miwa Suzuki (Manager of the Washington DC Office) to discuss Thomas’s time at SAIS as well as the role of Japan in studying International Relations. Now Nick is working at Saga City Hall, where is promoting municipal internationalization efforts through interpretation, translations and other activities, Sam is in New York, and Thomas is the research associate and the incoming coordinator at Reischauer Center.
