REISCHAUER HERITAGE SERIES

Edwin O. Reischauer was both a pioneering scholar—in regards to continental Asia and Japan—and one of the first prominent academic specialists on East Asia to write for a general audience. The Reischauer Heritage Series contains research and transcripts from relevant events that are connected to Amb. Reischauer’s legacy. For example, the inaugural monograph presents the remarks from two ceremonies, one in Washington, DC and one in Tokyo, that were held to commemorate what would have been Amb. Reischauer’s 100th birthday.

Electronic versions of monographs in this series are not made available online, but physical copies may be available at the Reischauer Center.
